Oxiltex is a half Cuban-half French photographer from Montreal. For the last six year, he has tasked himself with capturing stills of various objects and people, most often driven by intuition and his personal life. Oxiltex is inspired by people he meets to freeze time into place, unpredictable and autonomous, turning these moments into candid and raw imagery. Mostly presented in black & white colorization, the subjects can speak for their vividness themselves, each of them portrayed as a main character in a storyline. With a proclivity for capturing daredevils in an attentive light, Oxiltex is masterful at catching moving oases of vulnerability amid stoic and sovereign subcultures.
