Jenna Lewis is an art practitioner primarily focused on hand built ceramics. Lately, she has explored raku firing as a method for translating her drawings, or the images she comes across on the daily. Motivated by the immortalization of her surroundings, she builds objects inspired by internet culture, the casualness of youth and everyday encounters. Jenna brings an intuitively modern take to rustic objects, and presents with sincerity her digital experiences through classical and historically corroborated techniques. Her work is transcendental yet essentially timely, comedic and full of personality - like doom scrolling down a portal to the dark ages and bringing with you objects that would obliterate the mind of a medieval child.
