Isabel Yong explores themes of love, queerness, being and all its complexities through dynamic and vibrant oil paintings. Studying both Psychology and Studio Arts, these two clearly bleed into her work making for incredibly evocative compositions. Carrying a lingering sadness, her recent pieces reflect her introspection into emotional distance with others and the self. Yet, it seems the beauty of Isabel’s work lies in her tenderness, allowing the scenes' uncanniness to feel safe and strangely familiar.
