Dina El Sabbagh is a Palestinian-Canadian multidisciplinary artist, film maker and designer. Her creative approach involves deconstructing natural elements, phenomena and forms - creating new methods of connecting, understanding the environment and human nature. Shapes and forms that might seem familiar to our earthly space, and yet not to our earthly experiences are rearranged through hues, textures and extrusions. Her style relies on aesthetics inspired by vintage graphic arts, put in collision with textures imagined from outside of the human realm and united by a strong and thoughtful use of symbolism. Dina’s identity contributes to the political undertones present throughout her practice.
